Yes, I think the Greeks are a perfect introduction to philosophy and just to learning in general. They remind us of those pure moments of truth-seeking. Somehow the Greeks always seem very sincere to me. They had their cynics too (they started the Cynic movement, after all!), but somehow they seem less jaded...more purely intellectual and optimistic than we are today.

I think Greek philosophy is magic; I really do.

Thanks for the story too!
