.
Have you done or will you do anything on the notorious philosopher, Thomas Paine?
.
He was an Englightenment philosopher, was he not?
.
Maybe the greatest of all as far as our present day Western Civilization is concerned?
.

Paine is more of a political activist than philosopher, in some ways, but his influence is pretty big on our country. His pamphlets helped instigate the Revolutionary War which led to our country. Still, his political science ideas are philosophical in the sense that he had new ways of thinking about the government's obligations to its people. I hadn't planned on writing about him, but I certainly could, if you like.

.
Yupper, I sure would like you to write about him.
.
I have noticed some writers include him along with a list of Englightenment Philosophers.
.
I've only read his Common Sense so far. I'm not starting to read his Age of Reason. There are several writings from Paine that promise to be interesting.

Sounds like you read a lot. That's good news. I think it's something a lot of people stop doing after college (or high school, whichever). The mind can atrophy without use, so constant learning is always a good thing.
